Ohana Cafe (La Jolla): Hawaiian Restaurant Review: Best Hawaiian Food in SD?

Stumbled into Ohana Cafe at the corner of Pearl St. and La Jolla Blvd. because it is near the alltime best eyeglass repair store, 20/20 Eyeglass Repair.

Decided to give it a try, have been craving some mahi mahi w/mac salad.

They didn't have mahi, and I decided mac salad would be too heavy anyway.

Got plate lunch with grilled salmon and brown rice; I got to pick one side (gave the seaweed somen a try) and they also gave some salad.

Can someone say: BEST HAWAIIAN FOOD IN SAN DIEGO? I mean I haven't tried every place, but it's a lot better than L&L, Kealanie's and other places I have tried.  Super good.

Perfectly cooked salmon

Very good spring mix with a nice light dressing

Seaweed somen: green glass noodles and seaweed: RIDICULOUSLY TASTY - this is some serious (healthy) comfort food.

Ohana Cafe is the kind of place my blog is all about!!!

Only $9.99 for the plate - a bargain for this quality. And cooked with a lot of aloha!  They also have shaved ice, Hawaiian ice creams, etc.
